Incorporating New Recipes

Meal Planning Monday
Sometimes I feel like I make the same meals over and over. And that is probably true but I also love to try new recipes. This week our new meal is going to be Chicken with Bok Choy and Ginger. It is a variation to a recipe I found in my favorite cookbook.

We usually try one new recipe a week. But before any new meal makes it on to our menu plan it has to pass a couple of questions.
1. Is it nutritious? (unprocessed, real whole food ingredients)
2. Is it easy to prepare and cook?
3. Does it sound like something my whole family would enjoy?
4. Is my kitchen time going to be less than 30 minutes?
5. Are the ingredients budget friendly and easy to find?

If I get five answers "YES" then the recipe makes the menu! A "no" to any one of these questions is going to produce frustration during either the shopping, purchasing, preparing, or eating.

Here is a look at our meal plan for this week.
